FAQs

1. If I move in to a unit in the middle of the month do I have to pay for the full month's rent? 
    No. We prorate for the first month's rent, so your first payment will vary from the monthly rate.
    
2. Do I have to have a certain lock for my unit? 
    We suggest a simple padlock to lock your unit. We offer anti-theft locks for $10.69. 
    
3. What happens if I am late on paying for my unit or I miss a payment? 
    A tenant has from the 1st to the 6th of each month to pay for rent without any additional fees. If no payment has been received by the 7th, there is a $10.00 overlock fee added to the balance and a red overlock will be placed on the unit until the balance is paid in full. On the 15th of the month if there still has not been any form of payment a $15.00 late fee will be added to the balance. If two months delinquent, a lien notice will be sent and the process to auction the unit will begin.
    
4. Do you send monthly bills? 
    No, we do not send monthly bills to each tenant, but we can send invoices upon request.

5. Can I pay with a credit card? 
    Yes, we accept cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. If wishing to pay with a credit card we ask for the tenant to either stop in the office or call us. We do not accept credit card numbers that have been emailed or written down. We charge a $2.95 convenience fee when paying with a credit card. We also ask that you please stop by our office if you wish to pay with cash.

6. Do you offer automatic biling? 
    Yes, but tenants must contact us to arrange for this service.  We require a signed authorization form to proceed with automatic billing. We will bill the credit card number we have on file at the 1st day of each month.  Tenants must contact Wildcat Storage at (765) 674-1710 with any information changes (credit card expiration date, etc.) that will affect their billing. 

7. What paperwork must I sign? 
    We require each tenant to sign our lease prior to occupying the unit. If you live out of state and need to secure a unit but cannot visit our office during regular business hours, we can email the lease to you. You will have 10 days to sign the lease and send us a copy via email. Failure to sign and return the lease within the 10-day period results in a fee and a lock placed over your unit.  

    
8. Can I reserve a unit in advance? 
    Yes, we can reserve a unit for 24 business hours upon request. 
    
9. If I move out in the middle of a month do I receive a refund? 
    No. We do not refund for the rest of the month if a tenant chooses to move out early.
    
10. Do I have to pay for the next month's rent if I move out on the first? 
     Yes, if a tenant moves out of their unit on the first of a new month, they are responsible for that month's rent. IF the tenant moves out BEFORE the first AND we are notified, next month's rent will not be charged. If we are NOT notified before the first of the month, then the tenant is required to pay for that month's rent, NO EXCEPTIONS.
